Delicious and appetizing dip of caramelized onions, sour cream, cream cheese, dill and garlic.

15-20 min cooking

Description

1 Heat olive oil in a pan over low heat. Add the finely chopped onion. Let it cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. At 9 levels on the electric hob I use, I caramelize it to level 5. The idea is to caramelize the onion, which takes time, not to fry and burn.

2 While the onion is caramelizing, put the sour cream together with the cream cheese in a bowl. Add the pressed cloves of garlic, lemon juice, finely chopped dill and salt to taste. Beat well until smooth.

3 Once the onion has caramelized, leave it to cool, then add it to the rest of the mixture and stir. Leave the dip for about 15-20 minutes so that its flavors can intensify. Serve with bruschettas or chips.

The classic chickpea hummus is common on our table. You can serve it as a dip with crispy crackers or slices, with sliced vegetables or salad, or make a tortilla or sandwich with it. And this is recipe for my favorite hummus!
