Delicious dish for lunch or dinner - rice prepared with mushrooms, peas, sour cream and cream cheese. I used brown basmati rice, but you can replace it with white or brown rice.

Description

Delicious dish for lunch or dinner - rice prepared with mushrooms, peas, sour cream and cream cheese. You can use rice to your taste by adding as much water as indicated on the package to prepare it. I used brown basmati rice to prepare the dish from the recipe, but you can replace it with white or brown rice.


1 Finely chop the onion and garlic. Wash the mushrooms, cut them in half, then cut them into thin slices. Wash the rice well and set aside.


2 In a pan or saucepan with a lid (I use a non-stick coating), sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil for about 3-4 minutes. Add the mushrooms and stew under a lid for about 8 minutes, then remove the lid. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the liquid from the mushrooms evaporates.


3 Add the rice and stir for 1 minute, then add the water, salt and pepper. Boil under a lid on low heat for about 15-20 minutes (at 9 degrees on the electric hob I use, simmer at degree 6).


4 Add the frozen peas and leave under the lid for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add the cream and cream cheese. Stir well. Leave for another 5 minutes under a lid, stirring periodically, after which the dish is ready.
