The recipe for this soda bread with spelt flour is one of my favorites! In addition to serving it on Christmas Eve, you can prepare it at any time for your loved ones instead of plain bread.

The recipe for this soda bread with spelt flour is one of my favorites! In addition to serving it on Christmas Eve, you can prepare it at any time for your loved ones instead of plain bread. In my family, we all love this soda cake, and toast made from it is something I highly recommend you try! It is important after you knead the dough and put it in the baking tray to press it until it's flat so that the bread can bake well.


1 In a large bowl, pour the flour along with the baking soda and salt. Stir.


2 Add water, vinegar, olive oil and honey. Knead a soft dough (I knead it directly in the bowl).


3 Put baking paper in a baking tray. Put the kneaded dough in the middle and press it with your hands to make it flat (about 3 cm thick). Carefully cut a cross with a sharp knife.


4 Bake on the lower level in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 35-40 minutes, until the soda bread with spelt flour acquires an appetizing golden crust.
