At home, we love everything made with potatoes. I am happy to share my way of making sauteed potatoes. According to the original recipe, the potatoes are fried, but since I avoid frying, I prefer the healthy option, so I bake them. They are great, and in combination with a glass of kefir (ayran) or beer, they are irresistible.

1 Peel and dice the potatoes. Boil them in salted water for about 7-8 minutes (I put about 1 teaspoon of salt in the water). The potatoes must remain half-cooked so that they do not fall apart during baking.

2 Put the butter on the bottom of the clay pot and pour the drained, hot potatoes. Sprinkle with paprika and salt, then stir well until the butter melts. Add the water. Put in a cold oven at 220 degrees. Bake for about 40-45 minutes under a lid, then you can remove it and bake for another 10 minutes.

3 While the potatoes are in the oven, wash and chop the dill. Crush the garlic cloves. Mix them in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Stir well.

4 Once the potatoes are cooked, add the dill and garlic mixture to them and mix gently.

I offer you a vegetarian version of the famous shepherd's pie, but I skip the meat and emphasize the vegetables - lots of mushrooms, peas, onions, carrots, zucchini, celery, garlic, tomatoes. It turns out great!
