Dino park in Rasnov

Dino Park in Rasnov is a recreation area with a museum part both indoors and outdoors, and is the largest park in southeastern Europe. It has about 100 exhibits of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures in real size. Recently I have added an exact replica of the largest dinosaur ever lived on earth – Seismosaurus, a long 45 meters, which was definitely impressive as a view.

The park has children's playgrounds – slides, swings, roller coasters, a big ship with an interactive route, other interactive areas and more fun things, some of which you can also see in the pictures in the gallery.

After we ran the playground, we started walk on a path in the woods and looking at the different types of dinosaurs. The route was very pleasant for a walk and is definitely made very interesting and fun for children.

In one place we reached a volcano, which on every 3 minutes erupted and played smoke. If you stand on the site in front of it, at the moment it erups, the scene vibrates and resembles a real eruption of the volcano. It was a fun experience.

Another interesting thing we saw was a cave with dinosaur fossils, an exhibition of a real, rare meteorite, discovered on Romanian territory, sensory room with dinosaur sounds, prehistoric mammals. We also visited a 9D movie, which represented about a 15-minute projection, which I personally didn't like... But the others were having fun.

Traveling to Dino Park (using, of course, Google Maps), you get to a large parking lot where you need to park. From there to it the distance is somewhere over 1 km and the variant is either to get there on foot, or use the tractor-train to transport. Of course with children, the second option is most suitable and attractive. The first stop of the train is Dino Park, and after viewing it you can climb again and get to Rasnov Fortress, which has a very impressive view. The ticket for the train is paid once by the cashier in the parking lot. At the moment of our visit, an adult ticket cost 28 lei (11.50 BGN), for children from 3 to 14 years old – 22 lei (9 BGN), for children under 3 years old is free.
