What is orzo?

Orzo is a pasta in the shape of rice, which can be prepared as a traditional pasta or cooked and served in the same way as rice. Like other types of pasta, it can be served as a side dish, in soup, salad or in casserole. It is made from wheat, so it is important to know that if you follow a gluten-free diet, it is not suitable for you.

Description

1 Prepare the orzo according to the instructions on the package and wash it with cold water after that. Add a few drops of olive oil, stir and set aside.

2 Clean and cut the baby spinach, red onion and walnuts finely, dried tomatoes in strips.

3 In a large salad bowl add the orzo, chopped vegetables and olives. Flavour with olive oil, lemon juice, pressed garlic cloves and salt to taste. Stir well.
