I offer you a very successful recipe for einkorn flatbread. They are relatively easy to prepare and can be consumed with a main dishes or spread with pesto, hummus, cream cheese or garlic butter.

Description

I offer you a very successful recipe for einkorn flatbread. They are relatively easy to prepare and can be consumed with a main dishes or spread with pesto, hummus, cream cheese or garlic butter.


1 Dissolve the yeast in warm water and add honey to it. Beat well and set aside for about 5 minutes until the yeast is activated.


2 In a large bowl, pour the einkorn flour and mix it with the salt.


3 Once the yeast has activated, add it to the flour and knead the dough. Put it in a greased bowl and turn it a few times so that it greases the whole. Cover with a towel and leave to rise in the heat for about 30 minutes. To speed up the process, you can preheat the oven to 50 degrees, then put the dough in it and turn it off.


4 Once the dough has risen, knead it again. If it's sticky, knead it with more flour on a floured surface. Divide it into 8 equal parts.


5 Roll each of the balls about 4-5 mm thick on a floured surface. Do not make them too thin so that they do not tear.


6 Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat (at 9 levels on the electric hob I use, I bake them at level 7). Pour in the middle of the pan about 1 teaspoon of olive oil, then put the rolled flatbread. Bake until golden on both sides. Repeat with the remaining flatbreads. Between baking each, I wipe the pan with kitchen paper.
