Get to know Bulgaria!

The Arda River springs from the Rhodope Mountains, Ardin peak, and flows into the Maritsa River on Greek territory. It has very impressive and unique meanders (bends of the river bed in the form of a horseshoe). The most easily accessible is the meander near the town of Madzharovo, where the water makes a 180-degree scenic turn. It is located between Madzharovo and Borislavtsi and it is definitely worth admiring its view.

The Thracian rock sanctuary Begliktash (or Beglik Tash) is located about 5 km from Primorsko, Bulgaria, near the mouth of the Ropotamo River, in the highest part of Maslen Nos. It is one of those magical places that I would describe as highly energetic, filling you with peace and love.

The Slivodolsko Padalo waterfall is highly picturesque, and with its height of about 50 meters is the highest waterfall in the Rhodopes, Bulgaria. It is located approximately 30 km from the city of Plovdiv and 15 km from the city of Asenovgrad, along the river Slivov dol and on the territory of the reserve "Red Wall".

The Thracian tomb of Aleksandrovo is one of the most significant discoveries of Bulgarian archaeology. It is located about 20 km. from the town of Haskovo, to the village of Alexandrovo. Near the tomb is the Museum Center "Thracian Art Museum centre in the Eastern Rhodopes." The project for its construction was realized thanks to a donation from the people of Japan as a sign of friendship and cooperation between Japan and Bulgaria. In 2011 it became part of the "100 National Tourist Sites".

Toplitsa Fortress is located on the Sveti Duh hill in the city of Mineralni Bani, Haskovo region. According to historical records, the former town of Toplicos (Toplica) was located in this area. The fortress is located in the city itself. The place around it has recently been renovated and there are many places for rest - benches and gazebos. Every Saturday a multimedia light show is organized on the eastern fortress wall, which presents its history.

The natural phenomenon Stone Mushrooms is a landmark that is worth visiting if you pass near the village of Beli Plast (which is located next to the road Haskovo-Kardzhali). They are also known as Rock Mushrooms, and the locals call them Mantarkaya.
